How to accept your project invite

Last updated 27 August 2026

If you were invited to view or help build the GO BAHAMAS · WAG Rides 242 project, this guide walks you through accepting the invitation and finding the project again later. You don't need any technical knowledge — just the email you were invited with.

You got an invite — what happens next

The network owner sends invitations by email or by a shareable invite link. The email is sent to the exact address the owner invited you with. You must sign in to Lovable using that same email address — the project is linked to that account, not to a different one.

No account yet? That's fine. You'll create a free Lovable account as part of accepting the invite (see Step 2).

1Open the invite

Find the invitation email in your inbox (subject line mentions being invited to a Lovable project) and click the Accept invite button inside it. If the owner sent you a direct invite link instead, open that link in your browser.

  • Email invites go straight to the invited address — check spam or junk if you don't see it within a few minutes.
  • Invite links expire 5 days after they are created. If your link has expired, ask the owner to send a new one.

2Sign in or create a Lovable account

Clicking the invite takes you to Lovable. If you already have a Lovable account, sign in with the email you were invited with.

If you don't have an account yet, you'll be prompted to create one (free). Use the same email address the owner invited — the project only links to your account when the invite email and your sign-in email match.

3Accept the invitation

After signing in, the invite opens an acceptance screen showing the project name (GO BAHAMAS · WAG Rides 242) and the access level the owner granted you — Can view or Can edit.

Click Accept to join the project. You'll be taken straight into the project preview.

Where to find shared projects

From the Lovable dashboard (the page you land on after signing in at lovable.dev), shared projects appear in your project list.

  • If the owner shared the project workspace-wide (Can edit or Can view workspace access), it shows up in your workspace's project list automatically.
  • If access is set to Restricted, only projects you were explicitly invited to appear — look under Shared with me.
  • Use the workspace switcher (top-left of the dashboard) to confirm you're in the right workspace before looking for the project.

Access levels explained

LevelWhat you can do
Can viewOpen and preview the project and its live app. No editing.
Can editFull editing access alongside the owner — change pages, data and settings.
RestrictedOnly explicitly invited collaborators can see the project at all.

Troubleshooting

  • "I don't see the project" — Confirm you're signed in with the email the owner invited (not a personal address). Check the workspace switcher top-left. Check spam/junk for the invite email. If it's still missing, ask the owner to resend the invite to the correct address.
  • "My invite link expired" — Invite links expire after 5 days. Ask the owner to send a fresh link or a new email invite.
  • "The wrong email was invited" — Ask the owner to invite the correct address, then accept from that inbox. There's no way to transfer an invite to a different email yourself.
  • "I accepted but still can't edit" — Your access level is set by the owner. If you need edit access, ask the owner to change your role from Can view to Can edit.
